303lithgow, i didnt give 22's today but i did give up a extra box of 38's that i had to a couple that was going through a training course for new shooters.

they only had a box and 1/2 and needed more for both to finish today out with the instructor, so i gave them an old box that i had just to shoot up, the guy wanted to pay me for it and i told him no, i know how hard it is to find ammo around here, but all i wanted back is the cases for reloading which he did save.

so i went on my merry way shooting .357 mags instead and was just as happy but it was dang hot in that range.

and by the way the range was out of 38's and 9mm too but 22's they had alot of them, gofigure that.

I did get misty last night when I ordered 2,200 rds. Very nice thing to do. A guy at work gave me 200 CCI stingers so I could shoot my new 10/22. I shot 50. Found some online and gave back all his 200.

I started this shortage with more ammo than most folks and I've kept on buying but I'm getting to the point where I don't really need anymore regular ammo. So now I'm just buying special ammo like the Velocitors.

About six months ago someone here sent me about 350 rounds of HV shorts for free. But I sent him a check for shipping and paid a reasonable price for the ammo but could have gotten it for nothing.

I still think everyone should buy whatever they can whenever they can but we do need to take care of each other.

I could have shot those 50 rounds in my bumpfire in 30 seconds but I've gotten hours of pleasure out of giving them away. It was the best bang for my buck so to speak.

He acted like I had given him a million dollars.

Exactly what I've been doing buying what I can when I can, I too have given to deserving shooters makes one feel good.

I agree that it is with the new shooters and those that are just trying to profit off the shortage of ammo. I have a neighbor that just bought a sig 9mm from the local LGS and they did not have 1 box of ammo to give him or sell him. So he knows my love of guns and came down to ask about cleaning and other aspects of firearms and i told him i would take him to the range and we would put some time in and work on some basics......thats when i was informed of the no ammo, its like selling someone a car without the motor....So i give him a UMC 250 pack and covered the range ammo and now he is able to start learning how to use his firearm. I just wish it was like it used to be and we did not have to be so ridiculous with the ammo. kudos 303 just keep passing it forward it will pay off
