Finally got out back to the range and parted with some of my stash. I tried out 4 different loads. 2 in my 9c and 2 in my .40. Shot some targets and steel plates. I really like the Sierra 165 gr. jhp I loaded up for the .40. Only shot about 175 rnds. but had a good time. Both guns run flawlessly with 1 fail to fire on the first try in the 9. Light strike due to a primer not fully seated. Gonna do it again tomorrow, I'm getting the range bag packed up now.

had an urge to shoot a bowling ball, so I dug out my 300 win and my 358win and took them and my 6yr old daughter with her m&p15/22 and had some fun. the look on her face when that ball exploded was priceless. wish I could have gotten a pic but not the place to multi task.

Went to the range today to run some 180gr. UMC through my G23. (200 Rds.)It was positively the worst shooting ammo in my life. No FTF's or FTE's but my targets looked as though they were being shot with a scatter gun. I've never been so embarrassed at the range. One shot it's a bullseye and the next you'd think that that I was shooting a flame-thrower while barely staying on the target.
Anyone else experience this type of performance with UMC? Needless to say but I won't purchase anymore.
On the other hand, I also had the SR22 with me and shot out the center of two targets with 100 Rds.
Hope you all had a much better day then I did.

Got to shoot today out at a friend's rural property. I took my SR9c, my SR556FB, and my trusty old 10-22. There were a few other guys there and I got to fire a lot of different guns. Some of them were larger bores and I've got the sore shoulder to prove it.

This was the first time I've had any ammo or done any shooting at all since before last December.

I have a brand new Nikon P-223 sitting on top of my SR556. Today I zeroed it, ran a couple hundred rounds through it, and the rifle shoots beautifully and amazingly accurate now. What a blast. I really like this scope. One of the other guys has a Slide-Fire stock on his AR. If you have the money for ammo, that thing looks like a lot of fun to shoot.

I also managed to get a few hundred rounds through my 10-22 using the new BX-25 mags I bought last December. These mags are great. Not a single FTF of FTE. Finally have a 10-22 that isn't a jam-o-matic anymore. The Ruger mags made all the difference.

Got a couple hundred rounds through my SR9c today too. Nice to have 9mm available again. I'm still only a mediocre pistol shot on my best day, but at least I got a lot of practice in today.

Well now I'm all shot out for a little while. Tomorrow I'll be cleaning some guns, but for right now I'm just going to sit here and enjoy smelling like gunpowder for a bit longer.

Yesterday (Sorry not enough hours in the day) I got to the range for 45 minutes and shot my S&W J frame 642. burned up my 2 year old Winchester 38+P HP that I have had for CCW. Replaced it with Hornady 38+P XPT 125grn.

Shot my S&W 686+ with White box 357 and Remmington 38+P SJHP.

Also plinked away with the Bond Arms Cowboy Defender with the 357/38 barrel set on it. Enjoyed the +Ps and tollerated the 357 mags. Practiced 38+P with the bond at 5 feet with my weak hand as BUG training.

Total trip was about 50 rounds.

Shot the Ruger 77/44 and a Charter Arms 44 Special Bulldog, tiger stripe.

That tiger strips gets a bunch of attention and is easy to double tap with, kicks very little with PMC 180grn SJHP.
