This is my new Mini 14 stainless Ranch Rifle:
Took it to the range the other day with a sandbag rest. This is what my zero target looked like at 25 yards:
Any inaccuracy is mainly the shooter (me) not the gun. But I am pretty happy with these groups at 25 yards. The barrel was darned hot. No misfires, stovepiping, or anything -- the gun functioned perfectly. The first few times the magazines inserted with a bit of stiffness but seemed to loosen up as the day progressed. The group on the left is the last target of the day after I fired around 150 rounds. This group is as tight as any for the day, indicating that the new-style flared barrel on the Mini seems to have successfully dealt with the problem the old-style Minis had of groups opening up when the barrel got hot.
