I have the Judge (.410/.45lc-2.5in chamber) with a 6.5in.barrel. I would be interested in seeing what difference it would make with that much longer of a barrel. I do use my Judge for HD, loaded with the Remington HD #00 Buckshot-3shots, and 2 shots of Winchester Silvertip .45lc. I think that will deter anyone or anything from pursuing any farther than they were. I also use my Judge for hunting deer (use Barnes Vortex Hunting) with the .45lc, and Pheasants with #6 Remington Long Shot and a superb Chocolate Lab. For fun, I and a couple of friends also shoot clays, with sometimes remarkable success. Some say there os no use for this revolver, but I strongly disagree.

No but if they are wearing a heavy leather coat or winter jacket it may stop those projectiles. I've always thought of the Judge as a novelty pistol.
