Takedown - first range trip!

First trip was awesome! I really like this rifle. It's the first .22 rifle I've shot and I had no idea how much fun it would be to shoot. The 10 rd. and the BX25 mags worked flawlessly.

Shooting WWB I had 2 or 3 fail-to-ejects towards the end of ~200 rounds. Also found this in the box (check out the attached pic). Anyone seen this before from factory ammo?

Only regret is that I didn't get to the range earlier; had only an hour and a half to shoot before they closed.

Happy shootin'

-MoMatt

Glad you like the rifle, and yes i've found quite a few deformed .22LR's in 60 odd years.

No, but I did buy a brick once that had a single cartridge in there with no powder & no bullet.

I also once bought a box of .223 that had a single cartridge with a seriously deformed primer--it was flat on the bottom, but it looked like the machine had jammed it in sideways or something.

It happens--the moral of the story is to glance over your ammo, even commercial ammo, before trying to fire it.

I've had some deformed factory 22's before, not that bad though.

A few bad rounds in bulk 22 ammo is the rule not the exception.

The Take-Down is a hoot to shoot. Had a great time with mine today at the range.

New to the forum, but I just got a take down. Shoot it twice, maybe 100 rounds each time so far at the indoor range. I wonder if others experience the inability to sight well with it because it is so short. I'm not huge, well untill I eat my own cooking, but I wonder if I could extend the stock 1-3"? Any ideas there
