Posting pics is proving temperamental for me.
Anyhow, I got a used Super Redhawk Alaskan 454 off of Gunbroker. Everything looked good and functioned properly, but I couldn't get any ammo until we got 14 inches of snow.
I used American Eagle 225 grain jacketed soft point to sight it in, then Winchester Super X 250 grain reduced recoil 454 to confirm zero. Recoil from the 45 was minimal, and the 454 just a little more noticeable. I think they download it close to 45 velocity. I plan on loading some Hornady XTP 250 grain JHP for deer, but I'll have to test it first.
