Hi all. Its the same down here for large deer the 375H&H had a fairly strong following is probably one in most older hunters safe/collection or you would know someone who used to use it as their go to cartridge. I have seen what 375H&H does to a large deer and its nothing short of spectacular.

Bought some Remington Express 270gr SP ammo today. The rifle shoots fine and the brass is intact. Cool!

Sounds like they created a perfect storm for over pressure on the round. The first rounds fired you wouldn't know if they felt or even sounded weird. Glad it ended well and the rifle took it.

Was the retailer that sold the ammo local? I'd let them know what happened and ask them why they are selling recalled ammo.

When you go on your hunt be sure to post a lot of pics and tell us all about it when you return. That way the rest of us can live the hunt vicariously.
