Brief shoot - Kid's first time with his liberty training rifle

The first time out it was 5" inches high @25 yards with the rear sight bottomed. A factory 22 mag front sight fixed it right up.

It was certainly not his best performance.

He was still pretty excited about it.

Some getting used to, I guess.

The rifle.

Outstanding!
I don't have any Grandsons, but my Granddaughters love to "go shoot cans n'stuff" with Grandpa. They like to see their targets "do" something - course, we gotta empty those soda cans before we shoot'em, OR MAYBE NOT!
Exploding soda cans REALLY impressed my girls about the power of a "little" .22. There's that safety thing again! Then we get pick'em up and recycle the holey targets!
Good Times there my Friend. You can pack a heck of a lot of good memories into and afternoon of plinking! Savor those times.

He has an adult air rifle that he can match me with.

This will take some acclimation, I'm sure.

Unfortunately it's not too much of a thrill for him. He's been shooting various guns since he was four. He's been spoilt a bit in that respect.

Thanks, all.

A well shaken soda can makes for a great target.

All true.
