I shoot in an informal bullseye league. We shoot 15 rounds at 7 yards, 15 rounds at 15 yards and 20 rounds at 25 yards in 15 minutes. we use a B27 reverse (white target).there's also a handicap system that more than keeps things fair. It's as much about fun as it is competition although bragging rights are coveted. We have a few members (myself included) who like the chalange of shooting gun's you wouldn't normally associate with bullseye.IE the league before last I shot my SP101. next league about 6 of us have decided to shoot cowboy guns.not that I need another single action but the range had a Uberti Bisley in 38-40 well I have 38-40s that I shoot CAS with, so I'm set up to reload and this is more than enough excuse for me. so after some haggeling home goes the Bisley. here it is ![]() well this is the range report section so here goes. I have a full box of Black hills factorys and a partial box of my reloads I figure I had 35 rounds to see how this thing was gonna do and leave me 25 rounds of each for league. So I plan 10,10 and 15 rounds at the forementioned ranges. Load 1, skip 1, load 4, full cock, drop the hammer on the empty chamber. I figure it's a Bisley so I'm gonna one hand it bullseye style (which BTW the Bisley grip is better suited for) I run the target to 7 yards and procede to put 5 rounds in the bullseye centered left to right and seam to be about right up and down. The trigger pull is about 3# and glass breaking crisp. I load 5 more and same results.Moving to 15 yards I have a little trouble with trigger controll but nothing leaves the 10 ring. When I get to 25 I realize this things shooting POA perfectly ( well maybe a touch high) but If I can get a hang of the trigger It's capable of putting them in the 10 ring all night.Anyway I think the guys are in for a surprise. |
