After months of waiting, I finally made it to the gun club today. What a great day of shooting. The November weather was picture perfect today, it was very comfortable shooting with a short sleeved shirt.

I brought along my new(unfired) Ruger GP100 (6 inch, stainless) and my Springfield MC Operator 1911. I fired 100 rds of 38 SPL, and 50 rounds of 357 MAG through the GP100. The groups were very tight for the first time out! The gun performed very well. At this point, I'm very satisfied with the overall performance of the gun.

I put 150 or 200 rounds through the 1911 as well. No issues what so ever.

Well, I got some cleaning to do now!

I'll keep you posted! :D

Sounds like a great day. My next purchase is going to be a GP100. I want a 4 inch blued model. Hopefully you can make it out again soon and don't have to wait several months. However, I know how crazy schedules can get!
