| Just finished my latest Holster for my Speed Six
Picked up a 9mm Ruger Speed Six a while back, and started playing with patterns for it. I cut the pattern several weeks ago and it sat on the bench for a while. I have been so busy lately that I haven't had time to work in the shop. I finally had some time to really beat on it this past weekend, and here is what I finished with. All in all I am satisfied, but I am making one for my best buddy now, and I will change a few things so his will be a little better when I am done. I Hope y'all like it!

Do you do this as a side job, or only for yourself and friends. I'd love to have something like this for my GP100.

Max | A little of both I reckon. Next to shooting its my hobby. I spect I love shooting so much that it affords me the opportunity to be around gun stuff while not shooting. My Grandparents on my Daddy's side were Saddle Makers, and my Dad spent a number of years in the Saddle, and Leather goods business too. I reckon its just a way to pay tribute to those who came before me, and to preserve the know how and can do spirit that they possessed. What barrel length on your GP-100?

That is a pretty slick little holster set up you came up with. I like the Ruger design on there, how was that done?

It has a 6in barrel. Have you made any for the GP100 before? When you have time you can PM me.

I have been following your thread on Home Brew leather. PM me and I'll give you a link to where some of my other rigs are pictured. You do some nice work by the way!

They are a great source of info supplies and tools. Also I buy stuff from Springfield leather frequently. Google search them and you can buy on line from them. I recommend buying a holster kit from Tandy. That will, show you the basics. And the rest is just trial and error. The. I buy exotic hides I get them from a guy down the road from me. I've gotten shark, elephant, ostrich, sting ray, gator, and other various hides. I'm looking at some bull frog hide now. Crazy looking stuff. My all time favorite though is beaver tail. Totally awesome looking hide

Nice Speed Six, Reevolver, and very nice leather to go with it. I have it's twin in .357 - bobbed hammer and all. Is the grip adapter a Tyler? I have been thinking of ordering one, and wanted the opinion of someone who has one on a Speed Six. As I recall, the Tyler webpage recommends a number 8 for the Six series.

The gun came with a spur hammer. I bought a bobbed hammer, and dropped it right in.

That's beautiful! And I'm jealous of that Speed Six. I love my GP100, but the Six is what I was really looking for. I'll get one some day!
