I think shotguns have a different legal length, and I think that length is 18" minimun barrel, regardless of stock configuration, ie, pistol grips, folding stocks and whatnot.

UPDATE!!!!

It's FINALLY finished!!! When was my first post? April? Its been a long time coming! Whew!

After a mistake, a mangled gas block, a rush order of another gas block, reassembly and pics, here she is!

We will off to the range tomorrow and I'll be back with an update on the fun factor!

Nice looking. It would be cool to see the upper and lower with the same digital camo. Then buy a shirt, pants, and gloves to match and have a picture taken.

Tell me that wouldn't look cool.

I have seen uppers and lowers painted to match, but I don't really dig it. It's why I went this route.

Just measured, including the flash hider, it's 23".

Got to fire it today, and it is a fun little shooter. Quite a bit louder than other ARs due to the short barrel length.

From what I've been told a pistol can be as long as you want it. I'm not a lawyer so believe what you want.
