New Pac-lite barrel on 22/45 frame

Just built my own Frankenmark III. 4.5" Pac-lite barrel (purple) on a Mk III 22/45 frame with Ruger laminated wood grips. It has the rail installed, but I haven't got a red dot for it yet.
I got to the range to try it out with the irons yesterday. The range was quite sloppy from prior snows, so I only fired about 40 rounds (CCI Minimag and Win. Super X). Function was pretty good for a new pistol- only had 2 failures to feed (1 with each brand). The trigger isn't bad for stock parts (about 4 1/4 lbs.). Accuracy seemed pretty good offhand, although that's not what I was there for. Soon I'm going to put a Tactical Solutions compensator on it, and then probably a Sightmark red dot. The wife is already starting to talk about how pretty the new toy is, so I can see having to "build" another one soon- a 6" red or blue Pac-lite on a standard Mk III frame is what I'm thinking. WB

Updated info on Pac-lite 22/45

Took the FrankenMark III back out with a red dot taken off another gun (just a Bushnell Throphy). Also tried several other brands of ammo: Blazer; PMC Target; and Fed. Am. Eagle. It didn't like the PMC or Blazer (failures to feed and eject frequent). The Am. Eagle worked OK, but finally went back to CCI Minimag which gave the best accuracy and perfect function. So I sighted the red dot to Minimag and called it good. Of course, when I got home from the range the TS compensator I'd ordered was waiting for me! Looks like another range trip after the next snow storm.

drt4lfe will become famous soon enough
I bought a new 22/45 Target version several years ago and it was not very accurate....I did not shoot it much and almost sold it.....on a whim I bought a PacLite upper for it since I had a 22 Suppressor, figured it could not shoot any worse....Wow....what a difference that upper made....bouncing cans at 50 is too easy now....hitting empty shotgun shells from a rest at 50 is almost easy now, something you could rarely do with the stock pistol....
