Presentation case

This was something I planned om completing this winter and I finished it yesterday. I just acquired the M&P pre 10 and it got me fired up. One of those rare projects that went quite smooth. I stole the wood briefcase on ebay.

That's pretty awesome and you did a great job! What did you use as the foam base or whatever that is cut to shape under the felt?

I recently made one for a 1911, I used a free humidor (from one of those 'but this 10 cigar sampler for 19.99 and get a free humidor type ads) then some egg crate foam I had laying around and the remains of a satin pillow case. The foam I used was a little too soft though.

I used sponge from a kitchen chair pad, covered it with felt, then cut the shapes into a piece of cardboard, covered it with felt, and slit the felt in the shapes to allow these items to settle into the sponge, abt 3/4"sponge.
Nice case you have there. Thanks for the compliment

Awesome good idea using something rigid. I'll have to try that!! Yours fits way cleaner than mine

Nice presentation case! Yours too Dr. M. Both of you were smart to repurpose a case and modify to suit. Impressive results.
