I was out at a buddy's house last weekend loading firewood and found 2 pieces of cut walnut wood. My buddy told me he has a friend that works at a wood working shop that makes gun stocks and he gets some of the throw away pieces. Well, I got 2 pieces of this walnut that are not long enough to make rifle stocks. I was thinking that I could use them to make pistol grips. Only problem, I do not have a table saw or band saw to cut them out. I do have a small jig saw so I may try to rough them out with it and then carve them to size. This will be a nice little project to work on when it's too cold and nasty outside to shoot.

Go for it and post the end product pictures. I have been toying with making some fancy wood grips for some of my handguns. I have not excuse for lack of wood working tools.
