I like that simply styled holster, sort of like a Shaker chair and I think you made the old Marble a better knife, especially with the good sized guard.

That knife is actually an old Sheffield blank my father had put a leather spacer handle on. It hung on our wall my entire childhood. I took it down before my mother passed. I thought he had made it from scratch since he was a tool and die man and master machinist. But when I took the leather off, I found the Sheffield logo. He fashioned the guard and pommel out of brass. I cleaned it up, fit the elk stag and put a convex grind on it, made the sheath. It makes a decent survivalist. In the holster is my newly acquired Bisley .45 colt. Primed 50 once-fired brass today with my new press and just made a deal for 900 hard cast bullets - let the gun begin!

Thanks! I was well pleased with how it came out. I was also surprised at how much it improv d the feel of the gun in hand. It thickened the grip of course but my large hands appreciated it. I think it actually handled better under fire as well. Pleasant surprise since I did it purely for cosmetic reasons.

Next I've got some Osage I think I'm gonna fashion to my single six.
