Smile Glock 42 Already up for sale ?

My bud bought this gun for $449 OTD because he is a Glock fan,We test fired the 42,In all honesty this gun would have been a homerun if It came in 9mm and the frame was a tad longer with Pinky extensions ! No FTFs or FTEs I shot it more accuratley than my bud 3 inch groups at 10 yards which is very proficient it is very small and find my LC9 and LC380 do a better job,I would like to see Glock make the 9mm a little smaller than the LC but with pinky extensions. My friend sold me the gun after the range shoot for $300 ! I will trade it when Glock makes the 9mm I would want !

I see them available for sale at LGS...which is a bad sign as Shields were like hen's tooth when introduced.

All the G42s are flying off the shelves around here. The only one I've seen physically was already spoken for. It's first come, first served on the waiting lists.

I'll agree Glock is missing the boat big time in the single stack 9mm category.

I think the timing was great, went and tried out the pistol and knew how it handled and shot and then got a great price on one! I call that a great range outing. However you friend came up a little short on the deal, but it was his call and you just said yes.

Good luck on finding .380 ammo though, I haven't seen any in over 6 months around here.

$450? Did he get dinner and a movie first? I amazed at the guys who have always scorned the .380 cartridge that have lined up to buy an oversized and over priced .380 simply because it has Glock logo on it. Glock has made suckers out of all their fanboys by rolling out a single stack that none of them wanted. Glock knew they'd buy it anyway just because it's a Glock. Glock will really set the hook in them next year by offering the single stack 9. The same guys will go back to their LGS again to pay above retail for the 9MM. Way to go Glock. Never let it be said that you don't know how to market your wares.

Did it ever occur to you that just maybe those "fanboys" are buying the little pistol because it's what they want? no, probably not!
A shootable size gun in a manageable cartridge is just what the doctor ordered for a whole lot of people, not everyone thinks ya just gotta have a teeny weenie hard to shoot 9mm. Maybe you should rethink just who the "sucker" is here....

not a glock fan but for $300 i would have been all over it!! good buy, even the $450 otd price is not that bad,, people pay much more for Sigs and Colt Mustangs (like $6-700) i know those are steel frame blahblah, but they are still just a .380, the Glock is not as purtty as those, but i bet its just as reliable,,

and im with you a 9mm single stack Glock is coming right behind the G42, theyre just trying to figure out what theyre gonna call it. same size same capacity but in 9mm..

Glock should have sold it in 9MM with a .380 barrel, spring and mag in the case. Now that would have truly hit it out the park.

That would be a cool configuration! I'd be on that!
