How about a US made Glock .380?

They could color the frame pink or raspberry like a famous US manufacturer so they can compete in the fashion-conscience gun buying market.

Here is my guess. The 41 and 42 will be 2 guns that look exactly the same as all the other glocks. When it comes to changing it up and doing something outside the box with looks and feel Glock doesnt take chances. That can be a good and a bad thing. But my money is they will both look exactly like all the other Glocks with the same grip angle that only fits certain hands. If so, count me out. If they made one that looked a little different and felt comfortable to me I would buy one. They are reliable as a gun can be. Ive just never liked that every Glock looks exactly like the next. They need to change it up and make something radically different. They used to have the polymer, striker fired market locked down. Not so anymore. several guns like the XDM and M&P's are catching up to them fast. BUt knowing Glock it will be that black brick.

Glock has fallen behind. The 41 is the 45ACP version of the 34 and 35; a long slide 21. They'll sell some, but thick and longer is not what is selling right now. What would sell is a Glock version of the 1911. A big 36, 1911 mag compatable would fly off the shelves.

The 42 is a pocket 380, which would have been a chart-topper had it come out two years ago, will just be another choice in a crowded market today, but that's only if it is the size of the P3AT/LCP guns. Any bigger and only fans of the brand will buy (which is still a lot of guns, there's no denying).

IF (notice that's a big if) the 42 turns out to be a Kahr PM size 9mm (or 40 or GAP), they will sell by the boxcar load.

That's what I think.

I could def see a 1911 selling but just with the Glock fans and thats it. I dont think most people who already dont like Glocks would buy one, especially with the dizzying array of 1911's already on the market. The 380acp is a dying cartrige considering the advancements in small CC 9mm and 40's today. I dont think anything chambered in 45 GAP is going to fly off any shelf. I think its safe to say the 45 GAP is a wildcat cartridge that has never caught on with the general gun crowd. I would maybe look into a Glock if they made a Kahr sized 9mm thou! If Glock was smart they would make something that looked and felt different. I think after many years of producing the same looking frame on every gun it wouldnt hurt them to venture out and make maybe a tactical shotgun or something of that nature

"One model will be the Glock 41. SKU numbers are PG4130101 and PG4130103, which indicate adjustable sights, and a low-cap and hi-cap version. The Glock 41 is more expensive than any of Glock's other pistols to date; based on the wholesale cost I'm seeing, street price will be $779.95 at my shop. Given that, my official guess is that the new Glock Model 41 is going to be an optics-ready, competition-oriented pistol to compete with the S&W M&P CORE and FNH-USA FNX-45 Tactical.

The other model will be the Glock 42. SKU number is UI4250201, which indicates US-made, fixed sights and a low-capacity (10 or less) magazine. Wholesale price on this is only slightly above the Gen3 models, so street price should be $539.95. I think this is a new single stack .380 or 9mm of some sort. " - SirSqueeboo

If a Glock looked different it wouldn't be a Glock. If you want a Glock that looks different take a look at the Steyr M series and the Caracal. IIRC, the same guy designed all three.

I like the looks of the latter two and by most accounts they are fine guns, but I already have a Glock17 I got in 1987 so it's a lot easier to resist buying one (or both) of the others.

I think the GAP in a truely pocketable form would sell. How many threads have you seen in gun forums seeking the 'smallest' 45? The XDs is small for a 45, but a PM sized GAP would claim the title.

While Glock was asleep at the switch, Ruger put out the SR45 which will make the 41's butt look fat.

Well, it turned out to be a single stack .380 for the 42. Maybe a single stack 9 will follow on the same frame.

It kind of looks weird seeing a glock without their rail system on it, I figured they would of designed yet another non-standard rail for it . . .

Also looks like they can attach about three or four lights/lasers/knifes on there.

The new Glock .380 is a totally different design from their previous .380 offering.
