Mossberg 500 is next to the bed and a Springfield Armory 1911 on the night stand. If the situation requires a rifle, there's a No.1 MK.3 Enfield waiting in the closet.

The answer to that question varies, according to what I've been carrying that day or maybe just my mood. It might be a .357/.38, a 9mm or a .45. But either way chances are real good it's a Ruger.

Near the bed is a Ruger GP100 4" with Meprolite night sights and loaded with Remington .357 mag 125JHP. A good supply of Safariland Comp II's, a Surefire 6Z, OC spray and a cell phone are also available in the same location.

If more is needed, the gunsafe in the closet holds the more serious hardware and then it get's real interesting.

My xd45 sits on the nightstand and I have a sub-2000 leaning on the wall a few feet away.

Once I get my 590A1 out of layaway it will take the place of the sub-2000 and the sub-2000 will move back into my car.

A Sure-fire to light 'em up, and two j-frames and a Glock to knock 'em down. And occasionally a Colt 1911, cocked/locked.

Sig P220 45ACP. The only semi auto I own. Vetry effective fighting hand gun.

P.S. There is a short Remington 870 12 guage pump with rifle sights close by also.

Awards Showcase

NM Vaquero 45 loaded with 240grn silvertips

PPK/s loaded with buffalo bore hot loads (soon, should be picking it up from my dealer later this week).

14.5" AR with perm attached brake and M3X light

Shobu-Zukuri Katana, bad guys better hope I choose a gun not the sword, they might live through a gun but not the katana

Sometimes a 1911 or SuperBlackhawk is substituted for the Vaquero depending on what I was carrying that day.

2 inch Model 60 S&W snubbie in .38 Special. I have better guns for combat, but my wife knows how to use it. I also keep an 18 inch barrel Mossberg Model 500 12ga. right beside the bed.
