Heritage Rough Rider

I have a chance to buy an Heritage Rough Rider .22 with 11'' barrel that was this guy's papaws and he would take it deer hunting to scare of the coyotes. It looks by the pictures to be in great shape and he said the bluing was good on it. It also comes with 2 cylinders for the 22 mag and 22lr. Why do you need 2 cylinders and what do you guys think about buying this revolver. He is asking $175 for it. Thanks for your inputs!

You need 2 cylinders because .22 mag is a different cartridge than .22LR.
They run $200-250 new. $175 is a decent deal.

smithnframe will become famous soon enough
Academy had them with a 7 1/2 bbl for 99.00 on black friday. You can't shoot 22 mags in the lr cylinder!

From what I've heard they are pretty accurate if you are. The thing to consider is that they have a safety on the opposite side of the frame of the loading gate. That is a turn off for me, but if you have youngsters, it may be a plus.

The 11 inch barrel must be discontinued, I cannot find anything about them in 11''. Would love to find out how old it is. He said he bets there has been less than 25 rounds thru it.
