old fart

i have a friend who has an h&r revolver, he dropped it on its hammer and broke it off so he tore it apart and is selling the parts. it has a cylinder that i have tried in my nef r92, it goes right on and mounts right up. i checked alignment with the barrel to chamber and its perfect. now the difference is his cylinder is a 22magnum, can i use this in my nef since everything lines up? also what about other 22lr h&r cylinders?, i can find lots of h&r's but not many nef's. thanks for any help.

Its going to depend on the BC gap and timing, either can create a dangerous condition. I would rather err on the side of caution and not even try it.
