The gun was slipping down his pants his finger touched the trigger it went off. If a revolver was slipping and you caught it by the trigger the weight of the revolver does give enough pressure to fire around. you actually have to squeeze the trigger. (unless trigger is modified) | Plex didnt even have his gun in a holster so he is hardly a worth dragging into this discussion

My Glocks must be defective. They only go BANG when I pull the trigger. For the life of me I haven't found a way for them to fire by themselves.

I have carried Glock G20 10mm handguns concealed for about twenty years with one in the chamber. I also carry 1911s cocked and locked. I carry Sig P238s cocked and locked in my pocket. They don't shoot themselves. The operator has to screw up for a negligent discharge to occur.

I have 2 glocks and feel they are safe. I do pay extra attention when I reholster. I do like being able to fire a gun with out the magazine.

I'm really intrigued, though, by all the debate concerning whether or not Glocks are dangerous. | Glocks are no more dangerous than any other handgun assuming you keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire and never point it at anything you are not willing to destroy. I remember years ago I was picking up a Glock from my FFL. There was an older guy there saying "Those are dangerous guns..." I've had plenty of them at the time and he proceeds to tell me that he put a loaded/chambered Glock into the tupperware case, it "went off" and he lost part of his pinky. I think he failed to read the bright yellow warning sticker that clearly says not to put a loaded gun back into the case.
With Glocks, they are all ND's, since the striker isn't fully cocked until the trigger it pulled. The design is simple, and at the same time dangerous (if not handled properly).
I used to be a huge Glock fanboi, and even felt better carrying one over a 1911 because i thought that i would forget to flip the thumb safety off. Now that i've had plenty of practice/training on the 1911 platform, I actually prefer carrying a 1911. Since I use a 1911 most often, i find myself swiping off the non-existant safety even when shooting Glocks.

I personally have 3 Glock pistols and love them all. I find them to be just as safe as any other firearm I have owned. In fact, I carry my G19 loaded with a round chambered. I would not hesitate to own one of these marvels of engineering.
Good luck to you!

Good luck to you! | Thanks! I ended up getting a Glock clone- S&W SD9 the other day. So far I have managed not to shoot myself. |
