depends who you are trading with but my guess would be you would need to put in some cash as well if trading with a private person. Definately would need cash if trading in to a gun shop

If you're getting an SR-40c for your Taurus, jump on it.

I just bought a Taurus Model 709-Slim NIB, Black, for $225 at a local gun auction. I see them on Gun Broker and Guns America for $375-400 @. be ready to fork over some cash with your trade.

You'll be cheated. I'd keep the Taurus. Less problems, transferable life time support. To many teething problems with the SR40.

That guys for all your insight! | I almost got rid of my 740 slim and am glad I did not. I picked up my twin SR9c and SR40c and have not had a single problem other than breaking a striker cover that Ruger promptly replaced. Many years ago I got rid of a gun and I still regret it. I no longer get rid of a gun to fund or make room for another.

I understand..I've been going back and forth about it with my wife and she said to me,"You'll regret it if you get rid of it!" Sooo i've decided to keep it and add the SR9c to my stable as another ccw piece along with a Remington 870 Express Tactical with Ghost Sights!! Sweet thing about the 870 is my in-laws work at the Remington Plant in Ilion NY so i'll be getting a sweet deal!
