I went and picked up two brand new, identical GSG 1911's today. One for me and one for my middle son for Christmas. I'm super excited and ready to put some rounds down range. The only problem is, I'm not revealing mine until Christmas after he gets his. Oh well, it'll be worth it. He'll be super excited too. This will be his first brand new gun and his first handgun also.

I sold my wife's derringer last week along with some other stuff to fund her a new .22 pistol. We stopped by our LGS to check out the MKIII's and the 22/45's to she which one she liked better, it was the 22/45. She still wasn't too excited about it though, but did see a stainless 10/22 International with the Black laminate stock that she did get really excited over. Soooo.........I hope to be ordering one of those real soon. (Cross your fingers for me because she wasn't the only one who fell in love with it!)

And last but not least, I think I have decided to order me another pistol too. I've really had a CZ itch that I can't seem to get scratched. I've tried different things to get the itch to stop, but they just won't get the job done. So, I'm really lookin' hard at a CZ 75 B. I can't seem to make my mind up on the SA/DA or the straight SA. I think the SA would suit my needs best since it would mostly be a range gun. It has a drop free mag design unlike the SA/DA and the SA trigger is suppost to be better than the trigger on the SA/DA in SA mode. Time will only tell what happens.

Those are nice 1911's. I'm contemplating picking one up myself. Sig sells the same GSG 1911 with their name on it. lol.

Lead Slanger - the CZ-75b is an excellent gun. It was my first centerfire pistol and I loved it. I've since upgraded to the CZ-75 SP-01 that has the full-length dustcover. It doubles as a bludgeon when you run out of ammo, but it is laser-accurate and it's weight makes recoil negligible.

Another member of the CZ line that I'm covering is the P-01 (compact version) I really like how that one looks.
