I got to fire one the other week, and what a nice compact gun. It weighs more than the LCP which is good and bad in that the extra weight seriously reduces perceived recoil with the same rounds. Had a nice trigger pull also compared to the LCP since it has a manual safety. All in all I would have to say it is quite a nice small pistol vs the LCP which is an ultra-light 'pocket pistol'. Depends on what you want. After shooting it, I'm thinking that I want both |

thanks for your reply

I own one and it's a sweet shooter.
I really got a deal on this one for $429.00n new, dealer had it tagged wrong, it rang up at $479.00. Makes it that much more enjoyable to own
The early models has a recoil spring that wasn't strong enough, ejection and FTF's were common. Sig will send a flat wound spring to ya for the asking and fixes the issue.
Nice little piece, the extended mag helps it you have large hands. Very accurate too.

I own one like the one pictured above. Bought it at a local GS for $480 and that included the SIG STL laser sight and the belt holster. I like the way it shoots. I replaced my PF9 with this little guy as I couldn't stand the recoil and muzzle flip of the 9 mm light weight.

Just bought a P238 today, and I'm very impressed so far. Conceals better than my LC9, feels great, shoots great and I love the night sights that came stock. $480 after tax at academy

If you are comfortable with the 1911 style controls and the .380 you can't do much better.
Sig has plans to release the same platform in 9mm sometime this year. http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...blackwood.aspx
I'll own one of these once the dust dies down.

My daily carry piece. Fits nicely inside the pocket and in a very small OWB holster. I had to get the spring replaced but SIG was very nice and sent one to me after the first phone call. Much less, I said much less, recoil than the LCP. It is slightly larger, heavier, better looking and more expensive than the LCP.
