mg357, Model 10s are made on a K-frame, which is the size. As an example, a J-frame is a size smaller (ie mod 36) and a L frame is a size larger (ie mod 686). S&W made many different revolvers on a K-frame .... from a 22 LR to a 357 Mag. K-frame model 10s were available in both round butt and square butt .... depending on barrel length. The shorter 2" Mod 10s had round butts whereas 4" and 6" Mod 10s had square butts. Square butt grips for Mod 10s are the same as L-frame but are way different than J-frame grips. Most square butt grips will fit a round butt grip frame but round butt grips will not cover a square butt grip frame.

If you are referring to the currently produced "Classic" series, I feel certain that it will have a round butt frame with conversion grips to create a square butt. I do not beleive that S&W currently manufactures square butt frames.
