I probably should have known better...

...but, sometimes curiosity just gets the best of me.

I walked into my LGS, gave Tammy a wink, and made my way to the back of the store where all of the action was. There, I gave a nod to one of the boys and got to talking to him about a damn gun that had caught my eye on the internet. I told him that if he could put a Kel-Tec PMR 30 in front of me with a price tag that would allow me to walk out of the store with change back from four Franklins that I would buy it. I made that statement fully knowing that that particular gun was hard to find. The kid smiled and pulled two out from the bottom shelf. After tax and background check the total came to $397.

Damn. I could not figure out a way to back out without losing some respect, and, well, I DID want the gun, so....

I had heard that one of the biggest complaints on the gun was that the magazines were very hard to load to their full capacity of 30 rounds. I'm here to tell you that is very much the truth! I was jamming in rounds with a bead of sweat building up on my brow as I pushed beyond my comfort level to get the rounds in, and got to 28 when I called uncle.

In my hand the gun feels odd. Not bad, just odd. The grip is thick at the back and thinner to the front. The entire grip is wider front to back then any gun that I currently own. And just felt... Odd. The sights are wonderful! The Hi-Viz sites are the easy to see even in low light (like from my desk lamp).

Maybe this weekend I'll get a chance to shoot it. Maybe I'll sneak away from work and shoot it sooner

Nice
I think you'll have fun with that!

It just so happens a friend of mine has one and I was recently able to fire it, and thought it to be great fun

And truth be told I kinda want one myself

Congrats on the new piece.

When I first saw the pics I was worried the green was coming off on your hand. I always find about three days after loading a bunch of pistol mags is when my thumb is at it's sorest. It's like a deep bruise.

I do handyman work and my hands are forever taking a beating! Still though, after loading 28 rounds in one mag, and 22 in the other, my thumb was sore.

Funny how that works sometimes. Ya throw it out there thinking it aint gonna stick and, WHOOPS, it does.

Next thing ya know ur haulin a new gun home.

Ive ended up doin that a couple times..
The best and ONLY way to avoid it, is just to stay the hell away from the LGS.

Congrats. Nice looking piece. Looking forward to a range report.

Will an Uplula work with 22 mag? Amazon has a couple of loaders for the PMR.

Sweet. Enjoy it. I'm sure a 22 magnum pistol is a bunch of fun.

nice gun. In New Jersey we have a 15 round mag limit. So the gun is not as fun with only ten rounds as no one makes a 15 round for it.

That is a great story. I have thought about getting one of those. The only Kel Tec I own is a Sub 2000. Be sure to let us know how it works.

Maybe a 100-round drum?

I have a black one. Received it as payment for some welding work for a friend. Absolute blast to shoot, literally...very accurate too. But man is it easy to blow through quite a few boxes of 22mag in one session with this gun.

Congrats! That's the color my cousin wanted, but settled for a black one. I found a black one at a gun show a couple of months back for a great price and stupidly thought about it too long, and came back to the table shortly after to find it gone.

Definitely let us know how it shoots!
