That's nice. I like slab sided revolvers and the styling on that model is pretty cool. Got a couple of 686+'s too so I'm on board - good choice.

A Performance Center L-frame is a fine revolver. I would be difficult to find one better in this day and age. Congratulations!

Nice gun. I've looked at that model a couple times. Wish I did not sell my old 686 to my brother. I like the new performance center model. "Followed me home".

Slab side looks good. 686 is a winner. Good choice

Congrats! Man, you've been on a tear lately. How many guns have you acquired this year already? How ever many it is, good for you. Keep it up!

I got my 686 Pro Series by mistake. I purchased what I thought was a model 19. When it came in it was mislabeled and attached to a wrong photo. I called the store in NM and they said, OOPS. They argued that it was a much better gun. I should try it. I pulled it out, tried the trigger, and fell in love. 8 lbs in DA and 3- in SA. The DA pull has no staging, no creeping, and no grit. Different, but equally as nice as my Colt Diamondback, which I believe is the best ever.

I called back and asked about the price difference. They said if you like it, call it even.
I made about $300 in that deal ! I had always loved my L frame 586 with an 8" barrel, but this new 686 was competing heads up with it.

It is in my top 5 for accuracy right out of the box. That's under an 1" at 25 yards all day long. It shoots better than me. If your new 686 trigger isn't perfect, call S&W. Because it's a Pro Series it goes straight to the Performance Center, where they have some of the very best gunsmiths in the country. No fees or shipping.

You will bond with your new baby quick. Enjoy.
