I got a flyer advertising for all three calibers. A new Shield in 45 is tempting.

A brand new S&W under $400 OTD? In Kalifornia? Tempting. But I think only .40 S&W and 9mm are CA legal. Saw the flyer and only two guns were featured.

With gun sales plummeting we can probably expect to see many more great deals from all of the manufacturers over the coming months.

+1. I'm holding out to see what else materializes. A Shield for under $300 is tempting however. Those are pretty nice guns.

I can get a 9mm Shield out the door for $345.00. A $75.00 rebate means I'm buying one.

Sportsman's Outdoor Super Store is selling the Shield 45 for $345 before the rebate, which brings it down to $270. The 45 ACP is eligible for the rebate, if you can find them in stock.
This one has gone in and out of stock several times over the past weekend. I have gotten two back in stock notices, but by the time I got there, they were OOS again.

Why would you think I was talking about CA? US citizens in free states have more options.

Found a M&P9 Shield for $309 with free shipping plus $30 local FFL fee, less the $75 rebate = $264.

S&W made this Ruger fanboy an offer he could not refuse.

I've always like the size and feel of the Shields.

The $75 rebate is a good start towards an Apex trigger kit to fix a "so so" factory trigger.
