The New Dan Wesson 715 .357 magnum revolver

After purchasing my Ruger GP100 Match Champion, I enjoyed shooting it so much that I decided to keep looking for a Dan Wesson in .357 magnum. I would have liked to have purchased a blued, model 15-2VH pistol pac but the complete set in excellent condition is going for an arm & a leg these days, so I decided to look for the best single barreled model 15 I could find & add barrel lengths over time. I came across a slightly used (300 rounds), new model 715 (7 designates stainless) advertised in the Texas Gun Trader for sale in Houston at a very reasonable price so I had my son (Houston Firefighter) go look at it for me. He said it was immaculate, so here it is, with a sweet, short, light DA pull and an extremely crisp/light SA pull. I'm taking it to the range on Sunday afternoon & I'm like a kid on Christmas morning.

Have a Monson gun and the original belt buckle from the factory or as we knew it the south main street school. The new buckle is from town and could be one of the boys.
My most accurate revolver and yes that is a original case but only one extra barrel and shroud to go with it. Looking for a .44 mag from town as well. I do like the new one's.

That's a good lookin revolver!

Mine's a blued 8" heavy barrel, that cost $240 brand new in 82.
I wish I would've bought more barrels at the time.

Wow, nice gun. From talking to current and past owners they ar great guns. Looks like I missed out owning a good gun. You used to see the blued sets in gun stores years ago and I never got around to buying one. Look forward to a range report.

I have one i bought in 1978 new, it is a 6", 15-2 VH, then i added a 4" VH. My plan was to build a pistol pac myself, well then we had another baby and that plan went to hell real quick. i believe it is the most accurate firearm i have ever shot, a real tack driver.

I had an older blued DW mod. 15 for a while. It was a great revolver and I'm still wishing I had not sold it (due to financial reasons at the time) as I rarely see them show up in gun shops anymore. If I had come across a used 715 like yours I would have done the same. CZ has also been selling the different barrel/shrouds too in case you ever decide to want a snub.

Beautiful gun. I have a 1982 vintage Monson Dan Wesson .357 and it is a tack driver!
