LC9s vs Shield 9mm?

Does anyone have both the LC9s and an M&P Shield 9mm? Opinions of each? I own the Shield (It's my only non Ruger handgun) but I haven't warmed to it like I hoped. I don't hate it, it's just not a favorite. Thanks!

I refuse to buy a lc9. Can't stand the way it fits in my hand. IMO, the Shield is the best feeling CCW pistol out there!

Shield feels a little better to me, my son has a shield, the LC9s has a better trigger IMHO. I was looking for a Shield when I bought the LC9s Pro. No regrets, easier to conceal and I shoot tight groups. I wish it came with two mags like the Shield. Both fine weapons.

I didn't like the feel of the Shield so got the LC9S and love it. It is one of my EDC guns, along with a full sized M&P9.

I looked at both when searching for a more compact EDC to replace my SR40c. The LC9s had the long double action trigger and the grip was to small for my hand. The Shield fit my hand perfectly but had the dreaded S&W trigger. I ended up with the Walther PPS M2, very thin, full grip with 7 round magazine and a great single action trigger!

I have an LC9s.

It does not have a double action trigger. The slide fully cocks the striker mechanism making it a single action trigger.

My light weight carry is a shield, I have worked on 2 different LC9s, 1. the shield is heavier and feels great in my hand, the LC9 is lighter but does not have the good grip of the shield. The sights are better for my eyes on the shield. The take-up is longer on the LC9 and the final part of the trigger movement feels "squishy". I put an apex trigger and sear on my shield and it now has the best trigger pull etc. of any SD pistol I have shot. wo, with the except for weight and profile, the shield for me is best.

Yes, notice my signature line. Love my Shield.

Funny thing is, my wife loves her Nano but hates the Shield. I dislike the Nano almost as much as the lc9

I have the LC9s and the new Shield PC (ported) and the non-ported Shield all in 9mm. The Shield has a better grip but the Ruger has a better trigger and is more comfortable carrying. If it is not comfortable to carry than you will not carry it...

And I refuse to buy a Shield.

They have one of the worst triggers made.

There is a real reason Apex sells a ton of triggers for S&W pistols.

I've fired at least 6 of the 9 mm Shields. Every one had a very heavy pull weight and felt like somebody dumped sand in the mechanism.

But, these are just personal opinions. OP buy what suits you.

You can't beat the LC9S. Just about as perfect as you can get. Feels great in the hand, smooth balance and accurate as heck. I really love this gun. Nice slim design with great grip.
The Shieldd won in the trigger department until Ruger came out with the LC9S and then it was game over for the Shield. Shield is larger and longer, just not as nice as the Ruger and the Shield has had numerous issues.
