Sometimes you can find great deals at Cabelas, especially in their used gun section. I bought my Pro-tek I at Cabela's. It was a year old, had little if any use, and they had it mismarked as a regular 75D compact. I paid $450 before tax. It retails for $1750 at CZ Custom. That was 1 year ago and I'm still giddy over that deal. Best gun I've ever owned.

That's a brand spanking new price at my local gun store.

Wow. Thats cheap for a NIB. Our LGS they are $580 & up. I did get my 75 BD for right at $500, and I think my PCR was like $510,, but that was several years ago.

Used 75 series here run about $450, and some are pretty rough.

They get alot of P07's & P 09's which run about $550, ,, but the steel 75's are far and few between.

I did find a basic NIB P01 in the used case last fall. Came with all the factory stuff, case, cleaning rods, paperwork, booklets, extra mag. I got it for $469 OTD and I considered I stole it. I dont believe it was ever fired. The old timer bought it new online and couldnt rack the slide, so he traded it on a revolver the day before I seen it. Ive never seen a NIB one here, and online they are about $600.

They really are good pistols.

For the money, they are very hard to beat.

My 75B's California "sale" price was about $540.

But, that Pro-Tek though, what a steal!

I have a 97, a 75b in .40 and a 75b in 9mm...I also have the adapter that lets me shoot 22 lr in either the .40 or the 9mm. These are my only semi's an they get shot a lot....I love loading "gentle" in 45acp for the 97..it's a pleasure to shoot. I don't like reloading for high pressure loads so I don't load 9mm nor .40 but they are so cheap I've filled the closet with them over time and have plenty.

I had an 83 in .380 but just never liked it...I have a Bulgarian Makarov in 9mm Mak that has some of the same heritage as CZ and I really like it

Sort of a "cult" following around here..I saw one that had had the whole CZ custom shop rework...the shop owner didn't have a clue what it was and had it priced at $450..it was gone to the first looker before I could get there..oh well.
