Colt revolver

Today I saw a Colt 22 seven round S.A. it was about 5 or 6" long with a Derringer style grip could only make out it was a Colt I believe it was made in Hartford, was wondering if anyone knows this gun looks to be the turn of the century maybe older. Trying to post pic but Photobucket not cooperating right now. Its only a little bigger than a 2" Black Widow.
Thanks
Mike

It was probably an 1875 Model Colt (.22 short) 7-shot, Pocket Pistol. Pull up a picture and look to see if that is what you are referring to?

I've got one of those - they are not very robust little revolvers, but are kinda neat:

My Dad bought it in Mexico in the early '70s. He nor I have ever shot it. Don't plan to either, as it is an antique.

Don't know - as said in the post above yours, I've never tried to fire the tiny thing. But I suspect I could throw it farther rather than attempting to shoot paper with a .22 short through that little pipe.
