Question What single revolver would you have

If you could have only one revolver, what would it be? I'll be honest, it would be a tough call between my K, L frame S&Ws and my WC GP 100. That said, it would be my WC GP 100.

Thankfully we don't live in a land where we are so restricted.

i have no problems with my single 10. i use it most days. but if i could have only one, i'd keep my s&w model 15, built in 1980.
it is fine machinery.

Although its not a poll option for me it would be my LCR 38. Although I own a S&W model 65-3 it doesn't fit in my pocket and I have no desire to shoot a .357 in a confined space so the LCR gets the nod.

The K frame especially the 38 Specials are great revolvers. 357 as a self defense weapon particularly indoors is not an option for me. The K frame 38's just feel/shoot right to me.

Easy for me, if I had just one choice - GP100 hands down. A tank of a revolver. My second choice would be the LCR 357 since it fits so nicely in my pocket. I can shoot 38's out of each if 357 deemed to much for the moment.

Don't think you could beat any full size six shot .357 mag.

Probably my .44 S&W Mountain Gun. Though my 4 5/8" SBH would work almost as well and they are about the most indestructible gun ever made...

I would have a gp100 as a 5 inch stainless 357 could do it all. Hunting self defense ccw not in hot weather but other times.

I have several revolvers, my S&W mod 10 I've had since 1967. But if I had to choose only one it would be the SP-101 .357 with 3 in barrel. The .357 is a very versatile handgun with a variety of loads to choose from.

My redhawk backpacker in 44 mag/special. Big bore power to take just about anything down and loaded down magnum's are just fun as hell to shoot.

You didn't offer Super Blackhawk as a choice so I picked Blackhawk.

That would be a really difficult choice for me, as my two favorite revolvers are a 4" .357 GP100 and a 5 1/2" .44 Mag Redhawk. The GP could handle most things for me, but the Redhawk has that potential extra power for hunting or whatever else you might need it for...

As much as I love my N frame 29 smith dirty harry cannon, the 4" gp100 I have is a great all around revolver that can fill many roles, from self defense, hunting, and what have you.. I find it more versatile than my smith. I like my alaskan 454, but would go to the gp100 for more options. I think if it had been a choice above I would pick the dan wesson model 15v or new 715 with the 2", 4", 6' and 8" switchable barrels. The ultimate in options, and configurable to any personal need easily.
