Saw this on another forum, in my opinion it is not a 1911, doesn't even look like one.

Personally, I wouldn't pay almost $1200 for a plastic 1911 wanna be!

It's a 1911 wannabe because it's nothing like a 1911 and it don't wannabe what it is.

Yeah it sounds good, I'll believe it when I see it. And they are saying suggested retail of $1147.00 if it ever goes into production I suspect it will be even higher.

If they are asking for a deposit I'd be leary, because it just might be nothing more than 'vaporware'.

I agree, like a Firestar 1911.

Someone else trying to re-engineer the wheel and seperate impulse buyers from their money......

Original 1911 type .45 pistol - Armed US troops through WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, still used today in limited numbers by our military, still used by the MILLIONS in the hands of police and civilians.......

Let's make a hybrid-reengineered semi-clone and call it "the next step in 1911 engineering" Smack head.......

I will say it appears to have been pretty well thought out, and the execution is as well-done as many other current designs . . . better than quite a few, at that.

The references to the 1911 aside, this does appear to be a quite usable design. I certainly would not describe it as an "improvement" to JMB's design, but another approach to striker-fired operation in a package that does look and probably feel familiar to 1911 fans. No harm there . . . offers praise to the older gun.

That said, I'd have to handle and shoot the thing to see if it offers any advantages over existing offerings. It is kinda slick-looking, even if you don't appreciate the need for a "rail" under the barrel.

The price is a bit much, however. It's gonna have to be quite spectacular to justify, IMHO.

JMHO

I would certainly like to put a few rounds down range with it.
If I read the specs right, it says all steel construction and the trigger travel is only .115".

They need to work on the price though.
