I've been reading up on this new version. I also see they're readily available for purchase. Seems S&W did some nice work refining the M&P.

Great upgrade. I prefer no thumb safety and it's a tack driver right out of the case. The M&P's fit my hand like they were made for it. For me they have a natural feel.

Too late for me, sadly. The only thing I didn't like about my M&P .45, M&P 9mm C.O.R.E. were the triggers and they have been replaced with APEX Kits already.

Looks like a big seller if they are what they advertise, I love my 1.0 Versions and these look like they cured the things they got the feedback on. Good for S&W.

I was happy with my original M&P's when they came out and passed on the C.O.R.E. when it came out. But the M&P M2.0 did get my attention and added one to my collection.

Overall, I like it, except for those front slide serrations. It looks like someone dropped the slide into a bench grinder. Anybody know what the two rectangular holes are in the front of the dust cover?

I've seen other photos where you can see the serial number in that recessed/cut out area. I guess the metal chassis is the actual serial numbered part of the pistol.

Yep the trigger on my M&P 45 really sucks! I went that route with my SR40 and SR40c, installing SS recoil springs, polished aluminum striker indicator, heavier striker spring and smooth-it trigger kits, I don't like it that much to waste more money. I decided to purchase a gun that has a fantastic trigger and dead accurate out off the box! HK VP9

Since you added one to your collection can you give us a range report (specifically compared to the first version)?
