Sarkus,
I like to conceal carry and shoot my Glock 42.
It is nice with low recoil for me.
For years, I carried the Ruger LCR because I was so sick and weak and couldn't rack the slide (Lyme and then a PICC for 4.5 months).
My daughter's fiance has the Glock 19. It is very nice, and it is easy to shoot with low recoil for me also.
I was surprised. Glocks are no frills and great guns!
Now my daughter's fiance wants to get a Glock 43 after seeing and handling my Glock 42. They are very thin and easy to conceal.
As a female, it can be difficult to conceal carry with our clothing etc.

Love my 42 for a carry gun as well, alternate between that and my first gen lcp. I feel the lcp wears better, but glock has better sights, and +1 capacity over my lcp, both have 1 round magazine extensions.

As others have stated the glock 19 gen 4 is a great pistol for me. The p89 and p95 are also great 9mm pistols. I am of the personal opinion the browning highpower is the top of the 9mm class. I get the same feeling holding and running a highpower as I do holding and running a python. YMMV

Sarkus will become famous soon enough
I want to thank everyone for all their comments in this thread. As of today I own a Glock 19 (Gen4). Although I'm not sure if going Glock was the trend of the thread, as I said in my original post I wanted to do something different. Between that post, my signature, and a follow up post I made, I tried to make clear what I already had, though some of that seems to have been lost.

Steel framed hammer pistols: I already have a Ruger P89.
CZ75: I already have a CZ75 clone (Sar B6P, which is a polymer framed hammer fired pistol. And a hell of a value).
Polymer framed striker fired pistols: I already have several Rugers of this type.
1911: I already have a Ruger SR1911.
Canik/Walther: I previously owned a Canik TP9 (which is a Walther P99 clone), which I sold earlier this year. It's a fantastic gun, but I sold it because I could never get used to the grip angle. I'm one of those people who does better with a wider angle grip, such as what the 1911 offers and most American made pistols. And Glocks.

People can certainly continue to discuss Glock alternatives in this thread, of course.

You can also get really cool accessories for your Glock!
I have a slide cover plate that says "Truth and Justice" in Latin.
Others in my family have ones that say "Molon Labe" or "Don't Tread On Me."
You can get a bunch of them!

Congrats on the Glock Model 19, one of the best all around combat pistols, IMO.

My 19 gen 4 has a back cover plate with Revelations 6:8 verse on it. "Behold a pale horse, and he who sat upon it was death, and hell followed with him." LEO ARMORY did mine, as they do alot of laser engraving for me.

Also changed my sights to the henie straight eight tritium night sights. Very worthy upgrade.

It was only fitting since I own a 93 white mustang gt. (Sunny day driver only.) I really liked the quote as well. One of my ar's has Psalms 23:4 on its ejection port cover. I cannot say enough about the guys at LEO armory.

The gun I shoot the least is my G19. I shoot my M&P ProCORE the most. The P220 & DW PM7 are the second most used. I also enjoy my .22's, Buckmark and S&W M63.
I never shoot my S&W M41, Colt Government, DW M15 and PPQ.

Glocks IMO are the best polymer guns.
