Congrats on the new Philippine made 1911! That one was manufactured by Shooters Arms Manufacturing (Shooters Arms Manufacturing Incorporated) in Cebu. I don't own one myself, but I've had trigger time on one. It'd definitely a nice 1911. I do own a Philippine made 1911, a RIA 1911 Tac.

As long as the slide to frame fit doesn't have wiggle, the trigger doesn't have much up and down wiggle, the bushing/barrel fit is good, that's all I need. I can then perform the extra hand finishing details that really make it nice. :)

I have had the commander size ATI 1911 for several years. After about 500 rounds I had FTE problems.

After doing some online research, I found the ATI 1911s have a garbage barrel bushing and recoil spring. Took it to a local gunsmith and he wouldn't touch it. He told me to send it back to ATI to get fixed.

More online research indicated that returning the gun to ATI was a very lengthy (i.e. months) process and they simply but the same garbage barrel busing and recoil spring in it again which would fail after about 500 rounds.

I then found someone who said the barrel bushing and recoil spring from a Kimber 1911 would fit work. I ordered those from Midway. Had one problem. The flange on the Kimber went all the way around the bushing. The flange on the ATI only goes half way around. A little work at the bench with the Dremel soon gave me a barrel bushing with only a half flange and the gun has worked flawlessly since then.

As long as you don't expect this gun to be as flawless as a 1911 that costs three or four times as much, you should be okay.
