I though I would pass it along.

Herbie-1, I skipped over some of that information on pistol accuracy and I certainly do believe that you will NOT find very many CCW permit people who can shoot 15 yards (45feet) at the target and come away with groups much under 5 inches. So unless you have that pistol locked down into some sort of jig, or unless you have one heck of a pistol shot shooting for you, it will be very hard to come away knowing what your pistol is capable of doing down range.

I tell most people don't even worry about practicing with your CCW weapon past the 21 ft range, 3 to 10 feet is where all the action is going to be and for such practice, any pistol that can hold a 6 inch group at 25 feet is good to go. We don't even use sights on our pistols at that range, draw, point and FIRE .... those 3 shots on target fast as you possible can period.

Now as far as accuracy goes, yes I have a Kimber and a Colt Gold Cup that will print nice groups at 20 yards at the shooting range, to the tune of 1.5 inches groups 24/7 with match ammo off a rest nowdays. I simply do not do that type of pistol shooting anymore, as the eyes are not what they used to be and neither is the rest of the body.
