Not going to click on anyone's email like that just for safety reasons but, yes Dave, it will fit and function properly. It's a very common swap among Blackhawk and large frame Vaquero owners. I plan to put one on my Blackhawk at some point.
davidahill, Here's my 357 Blackhawk that I converted to a quasi Super Blackhawk. It has a SBH hammer and steel grip frame .... a really nice solid gun.
There might be a rule that you have to have a certain number of posts to post photos, I can't remember. If not, you have to use a photo hosting site like Photobucket (which is what I use). You store photos on the site and when you want to post one on a website you choose the icon in the top of the box that looks like an Earth with a link under it. Then you enter the image code from your photo hosting site for that particular photo.
Sounds way more complex than it is and I'm sure I'm not explaining it very well (I'm sleepy and on medication lol).
One caveat is that once it's installed, you may need to remove some metal from the face of the hammer in order to get it to fully strike the transfer bar.
When I installed my Super hammers on my Blackhawks, they needed a little file work to get them to hit the transfer bar. Otherwise, I had misfires.
Click on my name and then view public profile to see my .45 Blackhawk, I still can't get a picture to load up on this part of the page ? Dave.
