The most lethal pistol in the world.

During a recent bull session with a buddy the topic turned to firearms and ballistics.

I was shocked when my buddy claimed that the deadliest firearm in the world was a pocket .380.

Of course I argued with him, but when he explained his reasoning, it made sense.

I thought I'd put it out there to see if the knowledgeable people on this forum might want to guess why the .380 pocket pistol just might be the most lethal pistol in the world?

Because if you reach for your pistol in your pocket and accidentally shoot yourself in the leg and sever your femoral artery....you're dead. Other than that, no, I can't think of any reasonable argument why the 380 is the most lethal pistol in the world.

My logic would say, most .380s are small and therefore more likely to be carried and any pistol that is carried is more deadly than one that is at home in the safe.

Alright, I don't want to be accused of playing any 'gotcha' games here so I'm going to throw out a bit more specifics and let this thread run a bit longer.

What my buddy actually said was that the single deadliest pistol in the world was the FN Model 1910 in .380.

So I guess the question would be what would make that particular pistol worthy of being labeled the world's deadliest.

I would say that my North American Arms Guardian in .380, being straight blowback, is lethal on both ends...

I'd rather shoot my .44 SBH all day long instead of shooting a box of rounds through that Guardian...
