Have any of you Glock owners replaced your barrel with an aftermarket option? If yes:
Why did you do it?
What were the results?
What brand/model (Stormlake? Lonewolf (regular or Alphawolf)?

All my Glocks have after market barrels. They are simply better barrels, no problem with lead, no problem with proper cartridge support and they are all match grade barrels. I have also replaced all the sights and triggers and had the grips slimmed and stippled! Other than that I've left them alone!!!:roll eyes:
The barrels are mostly Lone Wolf.
G-19, 20,21 & 30!

All Lone Wolf for my G23 (mid-sized .40)
-9mm conversion barrel - w/ 9mm mags
-357 Sig barrel (fits G23 w/o conversion) - using my .40 mags no prob.
I shoot better with the Lone Wolf barrels than the Glock OEM.
However, I think the LW barrels are now being produced by a Korean company, and I can't speak as to their current quality

Lone Wolf.

Why did you do it?
1. I used to reload. I needed a traditional land and groove barrel to shoot hard cast lead. If this is the case for you, contact LWD before ordering your barrel. They'll ask for 5 samples of your inert reloads (no powder or primer) and ream the chamber to accommodate your loads.

2. I used to reload .40 S&W & 10 mm. The LWD match barrels were easier on the brass.

3. Now that I don't reload, I wanted extended barrels. Either threaded or ported.

4. Easy barrel swap out for caliber conversion. 40 to 9. ; 40 to .357 Sig.

What were the results?
Results were just fine. No issues. I've since ceased reloading. I no longer have the time to devote to it. For the sole pistol in which a LWD barrel is installed, the match chamber and barrel gives me just a hint more precision and accuracy than the standard barrel. The extended barrel is also ported, making for easier follow-up shots.

I have two Glocks with Lone Wolf barrels, a G-21 and a G-36, both in 45 ACP. I reload and wanted to use lead bullets. Both Lone Wolf barrels function perfectly and shoot well. I cannot tell any difference in accuracy between the Glock barrel and jacketed bullets versus Lone Wolf and lead bullets.

Lone wolf on 10mm g29, gen 3. It was the extended ported one. Shot great, but had feeding issues. Lone Wolf was great and responsive. Reduced the number of rounds sticking on the ramp, but not for the longer hunting hard cast bullets. I really wanted it to feed reliably, because it was a nice improvement over the stock barrel.

Just installed a Lone Wolf barrel in my Glock 40 (longslide) 10mm. It is actually an extended barrel for a Glock 20 but fit the 40 like a stock length barrel. Bought it so I could load lead hardcast. Haven't loaded any lead for it yet, but I did chronograph a 180gn Nosler JHP handload that clocked 1175 fps from the OEM barrel. LWD barrel clocked same load at 1225 fps. I wasn't expecting to see a bump in velocity like that and can't really explain it ??? Same barrel length as OEM (6").
Experienced two failures to feed with the LWD barrel. Tighter chamber perhaps. No feed or ejection malfunctions with the OEM barrel.
