We have others but, I have to agree with
Petrol and Powder -- Quote "Most likely to be depicted as Evil : Walther P-38"

Very accurate, yes for me Fun to Shoot. For being 73 years old it has aged Magnificently.
It is in Incredible Condition for what it has been through. Not all busted up, all Serial Numbers Match, only ware on the High Points. Not the typical ware from being in and out of a Holster.
Blueing is still all Blue, no Pits or Corrosion, Bore is still Clean and Brite.

Would add to the description - Evil, Wicked, Mean and Nasty.

People that are not familiar with it are Dumbfounded when They see it for the first time.
Told My Dear Wife that when I die it should really be put in a Museum.

Beside my RAP in 9mm, and my Browning HP, I recently acquired a Walter P38 100 year commemorative made in 1986. I got it new in the box. I always liked the P38. Even as a young man when my friends were going gaga over the Luger I always was interested in the P38. Even with a fixed rear sight I shoot right groups at 15 yards and one large hole at seven yards. It even has a decocker when the safety is engaged. The Nazi government really didn't know how to use what they had. The P38 is as good as the Browning HP. I say that even though I shoot my HP well.

I.m awfully fond of my ccw gun a Glock 19 but the Ruger P95 would have to be my "favorite" and a close second would be a 92FS, sadly I am currently without one. My son tells me that if I ever get a CZ75 or P07 I'll have a new favorite?? He loves em and got rid of everything except the CZ's. He may be right but I still have a fondness for the P95 that I doubt I'll ever shake and that's fine.

I would say a S&W 596 (not 5906) that my Dad has..........it's an all-stainless 9mm work of art, and I don't even like semi-autos and I'm not a S&W auto fan, but that gun is a beauty. Ragged holes at 25 yards, it must have had action work because the trigger pull is amazing.

That said, I'm not an auto guy, so of the guns I own I'll have to say my 9mm Flat Top Blackhawk.......there's something strangely satisfying about shooting 9mm through a Single Action revolver. It's not the most accurate, but I always end up having to pick up a pile of spent cases whenever I shoot it.........it's one of those "OK maybe just one more box......." type guns, and you end up putting 200 through it. I call it my "Big Boy .22", for when I want to plink with something that has some type of power. I even load it with Winchester HP Defense ammo and use it as my "next to the chair" gun at night, it's next to me right now. I sold the .357 cylinder because I zeroed the sights for 9 and I knew I'd never use the .357 capability, given I have other guns in that caliber.

I like it so much, I bought another one, this time a regular Blackhawk convertible. Again I'll probably never use the .357 cylinder but I'll keep it this time, just to have the option.

Bronco45's EMP4 is beautiful. I want one of those! I've sold off every 9mm I've ever owned even though I have dies and reload in that caliber. None were ever "just right" for me. My best friend has a High Power and a S&W M39 that he will occasionally bring to the range. They are best shooting 9mm's I've handled. Unfortunately he has never been willing to sell them to me (with the best friend discount I expected).

Ive shot several. By far, the Beretta 92fs. It was a range rental, filfthy and beat to heck. Incredibly accurate and reliably ate a variety of factory ammo. Of course, its a heavy, full sized pistol in a relatively light caliber.

A Walther PPS has been strapped to my side since they came out. I trust my life w/ it.

But if I was going into battle I'd want some variant, not SA, of a CZ 75. I do occasionally open carry a 75BD.

But this little guy may replace the PPS as my carry piece. It's a CZ PCR lower w/ a Rami upper. I did not make it but it's one sweet little pistol w/ lots of capacity and a bunch of internal work done to it.

I have owned my Sig 228 since '92, Reliable, accurate, great size, well build no flaws that I have discovered, clearly my favorite.

I have shot many others but shooting a box thru a pistol is not enough testing'I am sure their are plenty of great 9's out there but I will stick with my Sig,.

I recently purchased a Walter P38 that is 100 year commemorative of Walter. It is steel framed and hare 2 8 round magazines a wooden box, cleaning rod, test target and book. I always wanted a P38 and found the price reasonable. I have fired on a few occasions and even with fixed sights proved to be very accurate. The P38 is highly engineered and has several features that were amazing for a pistol designed in the 1930s. Engaging the safety decocks the hammer. It is single and double actioned. At 7 yards my shots produce a large single hole. At 15 yards, all hits in either the 9 or 10 ring. Same at 25 yards.
