I have fired my son's Glock, and Walther 9mms, and a friends Sig single stack. No real complaints about any of those.
I own a S&W 5906 that is a heavy beast, but always reliable. But my favorite is my Ruger SR9c. I am most accurate with it, and it just fits my hand so well!!

I have shot alot of 9mm pistols and my 1st choice is the Tanfolglio stock II xtreme. Trigger pull, grip, balance, sights leave nothing to be desired. The only drawback i have noticed is that the force of the hammer is a bit to weak and can cause problems some primers.

I might add that this is the pistol i use for competitions, as I live in Sweden carrying a gun for your own protection is sadly illegal. If by some miracle the laws would be changed to allow this i would carry my Glock 26. Perhaps not a pistol that the average shooter can hit a bullsey with at 25y but its very small very light and striker fired so no need for a safety with a proper holser if you want to carry it with a round camberd. And with a +2 bottom you get 12rnds which is very good for a gun small enought to fit in you back pocket.

love my 92A1, have not run many other 9mm pistols.

not fond of my LCR9, but i didnt buy it for fun... it is perfect for its purpose.

overall favorite 9mm... our Beretta CX4 Storm PCC... fantastically accurate at our max range distances (50 yd) - have not had the opportunity to run it outdoors and stretch its little legs yet.

i could shoot that one almost all day long.

I have a Ruger Blackhawk (.357 with 9mm cylinder) that I have never really liked firing 9mm

But, I have a Ruger P-89 and an SR-9C and find it hard to choose between them.

But, I have a S&W M&P Shield that has a real good feel. Haven't been able to work in range time for a firing session...

The Walther P99/PPQ really left an impression on me. I am not a fan of striker fire pistols but this design feels amazing and of all the 9mm guns I have shot and owned, this was the most accurate and comfortable to shoot. It is no wonder there are several Walther clones out there that have tried to copy the P99.

Dont know if you are aware, or have already handled / shot a Rami, FYI and others who may NOT know this,,
The Rami has a different feel than the PCR,, but , if you want an even smaller CZ than the PCR, the Rami shoots like a real champ. We got a 2075 D for the wife, and she loves it. Her 2 favorites to shoot are the Rami "D" and PCR. The mags from my PCR and 75 BD models all fit and work great in the Rami too. My wife often uses my PCR mags at the range. But the "D" model Rami is really hard to find. Buds Gun has them every so often,, but they dont last long. And Greg Cote LLC has all the MecGar PCR mags you want for about $21 , which also work great.
I would recommend the CZ Rami to anyone who wants a very small 9mm. .
My EDC is now a CZ PCR, But,,,,
My answer to the Op on my favorite to shoot has kinda changed since last year and the purchase of several CZ's. The answer would have to now be
1. CZ 75 BD.
2. CZ 75 PCR.
3. Beretta 92G & FS.
I just love the decocker and tack driving accuracy in the CZ's. The addition of TruGLO TFX sights on the CZ's are really the cats meow. :D

In answer to the original question, what's your favourite or best 9mm you shot, I would say the P08 Luger. It was an old gun with a bore that looked like it had been chiselled out but it was a sweet shooter and very accurate. Very cool.

Another pistol that left a lasting impression on me was the HK P7, crisp trigger and very accurate. Pistols I like include the SIG 226/228/229 and Beretta 92. I carried a Z88, a South African copy of the Beretta 92 and currently use a G19 with a 17L connector and mag release. It's trigger is way better than standard.

I just got my Ruger American Pistol (RAP) last week. It is my first venture into a striker pistol. The 9mm is a fun cartridge to shot and it comes with two 17 round magazines. I have had only one range session and I fired about 80 rounds. I fired various bullets of weights and they all worked flawlessly.
The only issue I have with it is the fixed rear sights. All the rounds landed about 3 to 4 inches low at 15 yards. I would suggest that Ruger come out with a version that has adjustable sights.
I was able to get a nice Blade Tech holster. I still have to get a double magazine pouch as the one I have for my Browning Hi-Power won't handle the RAP's magazines.
The RAP has only one safety and it is on the trigger. Compare that to the 1911 or Browing HP with a mechanical safety, a grip safety and a disconnector safety. Some models have a magazine disconnect. I don't need all these built-in safeties. I have been shooting my 1911s and HP for decades and never had a need for more than one type of safety.
The RAP is very simple and can be field stripped with ease. At 30 ounces it is just the right weight. The grip that was factory installed fits my hand like a glove.
All in all I am an old dog that just learned a new trick. I feel Ruger came out with a great design. I wish the folks at Ruger much success.

Browning HP Competition - they came with the long barrel, muzzle weight, unique magazine disconnect that doesn't drag the trigger, and a very tight barrel fit with a similarly tight chamber. Other things like reduced power recoil spring, standard Pachmayer grips, adjustable (crude but workable) rear sight all came on it too.

Not mine, but thats how they look.

The only one I have, a S&W Shield, with night sights, no safety. I just bought the piece around a month ago for something a little lighter for concealed carry than my 45 Colt Double Eagle and more rounds and power than my S&W Model 60 38 Spec. Never cared much prior for the 9mm, but read up on the newer 9mm ammo. Felt that the 9mm would have a little better handling characteristics than a 40 caliber in the Shield size frame. Am impressed so far of the shooting I have done with it. Have had to eat a little 'crow' from a shooting friend who loves the nine and who I always teased him about shooting a subsonic, ineffective caliber.
