Just fired my first 9mm revolver today, my brand new flat top Black Hawk convertible........
Had way more fun that I would have with a slide gun........might not be match grade accurate, but neither am I, this gun is FUN, it's different and I don't need to sell a kidney to buy bulk ammo for it.
My CZ85 9mm is an excellent gun, a great tool for defense that I would bet my life on.........I just enjoy a fine wheelgun so much more when it's time to have fun.
My favorite 9 is a Citadel(RIA) on a 1911 frame. It was dead on right out of the box.Eats anything, and being a 9,the recoil&muzzel flip are easy to manage making follow up shots a breeze.I just started using a Ruger SR9C with Williams Firesights, and I just added a laser and at 10yds I was able to place 17rds in the bull.I like the Ruger, but in this case it's #2.
My favorite shooter? Orange box-generation Sig P226 with SRT
My favorite CCW, Kahr PM9 with XS Big Dot (I like it on the range too, but the 15/7+1 in the zipper back is more fun)
My wife's fav? Sig P225 Germany generation
I did wear out a CHP's P85 in the early 90's, it got out of time and had to take it to a local gunsmith for replaced internals - I guess it had 15K rounds on it.
In the past I've owned a Browning HP and a Ruger P89DC. I currently own a Shield and an older Sig 228 without the dust cover rail. The Sig is the best ever 9MM IMHO.
The first time I ever shot a handgun was when my friend took me too the range to shoot his SP101 I was about to purchase. He rented a sig of some sort (9mm) because he was getting ready to go into the Dallas PD. I believe it was the model they issue. I didn't pay close attention, but it was real sweet. I likened it to those arcade guns that had the moving slide on them lol. Since then the only 9mm's I've shot are my SR9 and LC9s. I have zero complaints about the full size SR though.
Out of the six 9mm pistols I own, the Glock 34 is my favorite and the one I shoot the most. Two others that are a joy to shoot is the SR9c and LC9s, better triggers by far.
My favorite 9mm pistol is my Browning GP. It's a high power with an inch longer barrel and the longer barrel holds a weight that is also the front sight. It was made in 1980, has no magazine safety and a great trigger. The rear sight is fully adjustable. It also has wrap around grip. Browning made 1,000 of these for target shooting.
If I do my part, it will punch holes in the 9 and 10 rings at 15 and 25 yards.
No not I have ever witnessed, I own one of each type, been shooting them for years, love them.
