Yes I realize it ain't a Ruger, But my lovely lady Laid one away for me for Christmas. Two more payments and it come's home. Exact Replica of from the original Blue prints with the addition of the Model 70 firing system. Anyone have any expierience with these. Haven't played with a 1911 since the Navy many year ago.
Your lovely Lady did you a great service by putting that 1911 on lay-away! That is one 1911 that dream about owning, so shoot it, clean it and enjoy it! Break it in with 230 FMJ although it will probably feed most commercial ammo just fine since Colt does give the 1911 repro's the current improved barrel throating found an all their 1911 pistols.
After 30yrs Yesterday. I think she is a keeper for sure. Can't wait to get the gun off layaway and get her going.
Happiness is a woman who likes a warm gun.
Sam, Here's a little drift on the thread. My wife of 17yrs came with her own guns and safe to boot. Personal wedding gifts were a 4"624 for her, and a Browning MKIII Standard for me. You should have seen the looks at the reception!!!
