Hi all, it's been a while since I've been here but I just wanted to post a picture of my newest purchase, a Browning Hi Power in 9mm. I came accross this one in the pawn shop the I frequent. they made me a good deal so it came home with me. It's a real nice shooter, accurate & reliable. Now I have to learn how to reload for auto's.
Thanks

I like the Browning and CZ/ CZ clones ( Baby Eagle, Spynx, EAA, and others) this weapon plaform is very accurate and reliable.

Nice HP! I got one 3 days after my 21st Birthday and I still have it. I have put an estimated 12.5K rounds thru my BHP without a weapon attributable stoppage and only 1 broken part (extractor at about 10k rounds ) which when replaced the BHP kept right on ticking. They are truly great pistols. My BHP is right now my home defense pistol so I can think of no higher praise to give the heap on a pistol.

Very nice.
Maybe this is a "trend" as I too just got my first Hi Power, but in 40.
I shot a friend's and was sold on it. I finally came to agree with him when he said, "John Browning hit a Home Run with the 1911. He hit a Grand Slam with the Hi Power." You might want to check out Stephen Camp's site, Hi Powers and Handguns.
Enjoy your new pistol and stay safe.

Thanks | Congratulations.
The only thing I have found different between the revolver and the auto for reloading is the headspacing requirements. The mouth of the case has to jam up against a shoulder at the front of the chamber. So, 1) no roll crimp. Taper crimp and the case mouth stays open. 2) the length of the cartridge is critical.
Otherwise, same as revolver. I have never had any problems.

Happy new year, and again, congratulations.
