WTS: Ruger 10/22 M1 Carbine Stock Conversion

It is a stock for Ruger 10/22 that would make it look just like M1 Carbine. It is a complete drop-in.

Price is $105 shipped for continental US regardless of color. Shipped from North DFW, Texas via FedEx. Tracking number will be emailed soon as it is shipped.

Light stock is Beechwood with polyurethane finish. Finish can be sanded lightly, and once the wood grain is exposed, you can stain it with your own desired color.

Dark stock is the Birchwood stock.

Comes in two colors:

I have been getting a lot of questions about the front sling of the stock. Unfortunately, making a front band with sling attached like the original M1 Carbine would impact the pricing of the stock due to increase in production cost, along with the fact that many people would not like to remove their sling while they are disassembling the weapon.

Package will include the complete stock and the front band. Unfortunately sling is currently not available, as negotiations are still being made, however, any M1 Carbine sling will fit. Tech-Sights are not included in the package.

Price is $105 shipped for continental US regardless of color. Shipped from North DFW, Texas via FedEx. Tracking number will be emailed soon as it is shipped.

Please PM me or email and indicate:
1. Color of the stock
2. Payment method

Thanks!

I voted dark, because to me, the darker one looks more authentic.
What a novel idea. they look good.

M1 Carbine stock for my Ruger 10/22

Last week I saw this post, on the Ruger 10/22 forum, and on Thursday night ordered one of the (darkwood) stocks. Saturday morning, FedEX delivered the stock (quick shipping) and I could not wait to open the box, my initial impression this is better than the pix on the forum, the wood is "better grained" and looks better than the Factory Ruger stock. I chose my 10/22 Ruger" model #1103 (18.5", blue with wood stock), for the CONVERSION and removed factory stock and replaced with this M1 Carbine replica stock, a 5 minute job. This is a really nice conversion, the Ruger parts just drop in to the Carbine stock.

To complete this project, I have place an order for some TechSights #TSR200, Tech-SIGHTS Precision Shooting Accessories to give the rifle the military style sights. I also found a M1 Carbine sling and oiler (reproduction) for about $15.00 on Ebay. I am preparing this rifle for my Grandson, so we can take a trip to the Appleseed and the gun range. This setup should be ideal for my grandson and the women in the family because the length of pull is about the same as the Ruger 10/22 Carbine, about 13 inches, more comfortable for the smaller rifleman and will encourage them to participate in the sport.

I agree with chief 10beers, a dark stock made to fit a mini ranch 14 would be great!! Nice job by the way. Stocks made for the remington 597 would also sell well IMHO. Great job.

Looks really nice, better than the one I have. Of course, I paid the same amount for my whole gun, that being an old marlin 989 mk2. I'm happy with it, actually stumbled on to it at a local show AFTER seeing this one here and thinking how cool it was.

Built last night.

After a tiny amount of finishing for clearances in the back, it's sitting well!

It's currently receiving 8 coats of this over 4 days:

Needed no prep, came still fairly open-grain. It's glossy like one of those match guns now.
