I don't think there should be a problem. Burris was always the go-to optics for big bore handguns. I had a Burris LER scope on my Super Redhawk .44 for quite a few years, and after I sold the gun, I kept the scope and now use it on my Desert Eagle .50AE. I'm sure their dot optics are built just as tough.

I have one one my colt 308; it's mounted on top of my redfield timberline QD mount. It works great and I use it up to 100 yards or more, if I want quicker target aquisition... My model is the fastfire3...
