I ended up picking up an eotech xps2-0 which is a nonnight vision model. The price difference is substantal. With the likelyhood of me ever buying night vision being slim to none i opted for the cheaper model. The sight only required very minor adjustment to sight in. I had it hit in right on at 60yds in about 10 rds. The sight has preformed great so far and I'm happy with it. The price tag was a little high but if it lasts like it's supposed to it will be worth it in the end.

I have an eotech on a remington 870 pump and it has survived over 3000 3 inch slug and buckshot loads and over 2000 23/4 inch slug and buckshot loads. this is more rounds than many guns will have in a lifetime. The gun has had this in 2 years. the eotech site is fine after all that. My shoulder is less so as I do not recover at 55 as well as at 35.

You made a wise decision going with an XPS series, they are much improved over the older EOTechs.
